Hammond crosses the $50 billion mark in assets under advisement

August 2007

Hammond Associates reached several noteworthy milestones during 2007, chief among them being a near doubling of assets under advisement.  In June 2006 the firm reported having $22 billion under advisement.  One year later the assets under advisement crossed the $50 billion mark, primarily due to the growth of existing clients’ assets and the addition of some new clients during the year.  With just over 75 clients in 2004 the firm grew to 126 clients by the third quarter of 2006 and reports just under 160 clients one year later. The firm paces itself cautiously in regard to adding clients, "because we don't want to grow too quickly. Our first commitment is always to our existing client,” says Hammond.  The firm currently has 99 employees in St. Louis, compared to 80 associates just over a year ago
